按摩時「啪頸」隨時腦中風頸部脊髓損傷，可能終身致癱

有研究指，頸部肌肉僵硬痠痛，過度的頸部推拿按摩，手法過於用力，頭頸突然被旋轉15度以上，或扭動頭頸用力過猛有可能傷及頸部血管使管道不通，腦部供血量減少脊髓或神經根，輕則造成頸肩和手臂神經痛，重者可造成癱瘓，甚至腦中風而威脅生命。

在「頸動脈」部位用力按揉加壓，若患者已存在心律不整或房室傳導阻滯，可能引發心跳驟停；某些人的「頸動脈竇」萬一斑塊脫落並順着血流流到腦內細小血管造成阻塞，即可造成缺血性腦中風的發生。
