女士們坐下,很自然就會把一隻腳翹在另一隻腳上面,這樣的坐姿看來才比較優雅;男士們同樣喜歡翹腳,只是一般會將腳踝放在另一腳的膝蓋上,盡顯豪邁。從前在影樓拍攝的舊式家庭照,父母坐在前排,正襟危坐,雙腳平放,看來很老套,但這種坐姿其實最好。很多年前,已經知道翹腳會產生很多不良的健康問題。

坐下來時長期翹腳,會造成下肢血液循環問題,有機會引致水腫甚至靜脈曲張。物理治療師更指出,膝對膝的翹腳會增加骨盆後傾,導致腰椎後突,形成椎間盤突出,這下可麻煩了,到時肯定會坐立不安,受痛症困擾。另外,翹腳也有機會引致脊椎側彎,同樣很容易腰痠背痛。

別以為有時左膝翹右膝,有時右膝翹左膝,不就可以取回平衡嗎?專家表示,這反而會造成雙重扭曲,也是有損健康。

雖然有中醫師表示,如果要長期坐着,翹腳能夠減輕腰痠的情況,不全然是壞。不過,既然翹腳是不良坐姿,還是不要養成習慣,保持雙腳平放,也不要長期坐着不動,任何姿勢長期保持不變,一樣有問題。
