Introdution :
Dr. Leung Hip Wing graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2001. He then started his training in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, which is one of the biggest orthopaedic and trauma centre in Hong Kong. Throughout his thirteen years of residency in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, he had gained vast experience in general orthopaedics and fracture management. After obtaining his fellowship from the Hong Kong College of Orthopaedics Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Orthopaedics in 2008, Dr. Leung subspecialized in adult joint reconstruction surgery. He is a high-volume surgeon in arthroplasty who has performed over 200 cases per year including both primary and revision total knee as well as hip replacement. He has accumulated more than 1000 cutting experiences in hip and knee arthroplasty. Moreover, Dr. Leung was a foundation member of Hong Kong’s first joint replacement center in the Buddhist Hospital and he had been awarded “Outstanding Staff and Teams Award 2013” by the Hospital Authority. Before he joined private practice in 2014, he had been serving as the Associate Consultant in joint reconstruction service at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Dr. Leung is keen in teaching orthopaedic trainee in knee and hip replacement surgery. Over the past few years, he had supervised over hundreds of arthroplasty operations. He also participated in local clinical research including the studies of epidemiology of thromboembolism in arthroplasty in Hong Kong population, efficacy of result on intra-articular knee hyalouronic acid injection, and the surgical management metabolic bone disease. Dr. Leung expertises in adult joint replacement surgery including primary and revision total knee and hip replacement, unicondylar knee replacement and patient specific instrumentation arthroplasty. He is also experienced in managing arthritis and general orthopaedic problems.
