My husband was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital because of a sharp chest pain. Another 4 reoccurrence of chest pain happened on the same day, it was almost as frequent as once every hour. The nurse only gave him glyceryl trinitrate sublingual, a common pill used to relieve heart conditions. However, there were no other follow-up treatments. I felt that was not quite right, there was no reason that he got the chest pain every hour, and it is unreasonable that the nurse prescribed the glyceryl trinitrate sublingual without the presence of doctor’s diagnosis. Later that night we were lucky to have contacted Dr. Chan. After listening to his advice, we decided to do a transfer immediately to another hospital, although it was already 10pm at night, the doctor requested the Baptist Hospital in person, in order to help him find a spot in the ward that was fully-booked. The doctor realized the severity of husband’s case, and initiated the surgery right after the transfer. He booked the surgical room and anesthetist as he was waiting for the transfer. The surgery began right after the transfer. In the surgery, Dr. Chan used a minimally invasive catheter to

He then discovered that 2 out of 3 arteries in my husband’s heart were blocked, and that he was in a critical condition, Dr. Chan then performed a balloon angioplasty surgery immediately. The surgery was a success; Dr. Chan is truly benevolent at heart and in mind, he saved my husband’s life, thank you Dr. Chan!

我老公前日心口痛進入瑪嘉烈醫院，當日已經再次痛了4次，基乎一小時痛一次 ，護士只是給利底丸我老公食，並無其他醫療，後來我覺得唔妥，沒理由一小時痛一次，痛了四次醫生都只給利底丸就算數，之後，當晚我們很幸運的找到了陳偉光醫生，我聽了他的意見後，決定馬上轉院，陳醫生真的很好，因為當時已經是晚上差不多十點，他知道我老公情況實在危急，本來浸會醫院全部床位基乎客滿了，但陳醫生都幫我們請求醫院幫忙找床位，後來好好彩找到了，陳醫生也同時約了手術室與麻醉師，就等我們一轉院便可馬上做手術，當我們到達浸會醫院後，手術馬上要進行，用微創導管進入心臟血管查看，才發現三條血管塞了兩條，情況十分危險，要馬上進行通波仔手術，今次手術很成功，陳醫生真是仁心仁術，救了我老公一命，謝謝你，陳醫生。
