Introdution :
Doctor Lam Yat Yin graduated from University of Hong Kong with John Anderson Gray Medal and is currently the Director of Center Medical Limited and the Chief Medical Consultant of Hong Kong Magnetocardiography (HKMCG) center. He received cardiology training at Prince of Wales Hospital and Royal Brompton Hospital, London. He was awarded a Doctor of Medicine in 2011. He is one of the leading physician trainers for complex cardiovascular interventions in Asian countries especially left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) and transcatheter aortic valvular implantation (TAVI). He is also instrumental in introducing non-invasive medical imaging technology (MCG) for the early detection of coronary artery disease to Hong Kong. He is one of the co-founders of Hong Kong Society of Congenital and Structural Heart Disease and the program directors of a few international LAAO workshops and interventional symposiums for structural heart diseases. He was formerly an associate Professor in the Chinese University of Hong Kong and is currently the associate editor of International Journal of Cardiology. He has published over 250 peer-reviewed articles in major international journals. His areas of particular interest include Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging (4D echocardiography for heart failure and congenital heart disease), Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (Bioresorbable Vascular Scafford), Structural Heart Intervention (Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion, Transcatheter Aortic Valvular Implantation, Renal Artery Denervation, Percutaneous Mitral Valve Repair), as well as Device Therapy for Sudden Cardiac Death, Bradycardia or Heart Failure. Additionally, Dr. Lam is the Visiting Professor of Tongji University, Shanghai, China; the Key Opinion leader and Consultant in a few Cardiac Device Companies (Boston Scientific, St Jude Medical, Lifetech Scientific, Venus Medtech and Microport); Asia Pacific Medical Director of Magnetic Field Imaging, BMP, Germany and the Honorary Associate Consultant for a few public hospitals in Hong Kong.
