I made an appointment with Dr. Lung one week before the visit, and scheduled an afternoon sick leave for the appointment.
The night before our appointment (8 sth pm), I received a call from his office saying that Dr. Lung has a surgery to conduct during our appointment time, so I will have to change the appointment day or make the appointment earlier.
Since I have already scheduled an afternoon sick leave, it would be quite troublesome for me to switch the date or make the appointment earlier, and the office was notifying me too late, which the nurse said she was told last second by the doctor.
After rescheduling my time table and communicated with my bosses, they were able to switch my half day sick leave from afternoon to morning, and I rescheduled the appointment to 1:15pm, which was the earliest appointment they could offer, and their office normally opens at 10 am with that day being special, opened at 1 pm.
As I had only morning half day sick leave, 1:15pm appointment was quite tight for my schedule, I get there around 12:45 and waited until their office opened at 1.
Given that I had already told the nurse how rush my time was, I waited until 1:30pm and the doctor still had no show. I had to leave at that time in order to get back to my office on time. The nurse refused to give my a medical certificate to certify my sick leave.
