中醫根治坐骨神經痛

不少港人都忽視坐姿正確的重要,令腰部承受巨大壓力,腰痠骨痛頻出現。許多人對腰痛不以為然,誤以為是年紀大和過勞的自然反應,但其實腰痛的形成或跟坐骨神經有關。坐骨神經痛是本港常見都市病,誘發原因包括坐姿長期不正確和翹腳。長期翹腳令盤骨左右傾側,使盤骨高低不平衡,同時令一邊肌肉拉緊。久坐地上、矮凳或軟沙發等生活習慣都會令腰部嚴重受力,導致損傷或坐骨神經痛。

坐骨神經是從腰椎第四及第五節,以及與薦椎部位的神經根相互融合而成,左右各一條,由下背部經往臀部、大腿後側向下延伸,支配下肢後側的感覺與運動功能。由於外傷或長期姿勢不正確,腰部受力增加,腰椎關節錯位或肌肉緊張,壓逼或刺激到坐骨神經,即出現坐骨神經痛。不少患者都形容坐骨神經痛令他們「日頭行唔到,夜晚瞓唔着」,簡直痛不欲生。

坊間流傳多種紓緩療方如使用按摩膏、做伸展運動及穴位按摩。以上療法只能治標,不能治本,不及時求醫更容易耽誤病情。治療方面,我會先為患者檢查,查找引致問題的定點位,再通過正骨手法從中矯正,把受壓的神經恢復,患者毋須在治療過程倚賴止痛藥和儀器就能痊瘉。曾有被診斷要做手術的嚴重患者接受正骨治療後,病情有明顯改善,免於承受動手術風險。提醒大家,平日坐着時,謹記以三點支撐,分別是臀部和左右腳底。左右兩邊膝蓋應保持同樣水平,膝蓋彎曲的角度最好保持九十度,並保持上半身收腹挺直,以維持盤骨正確受力位置。長期保持正確坐姿,可減少腰部受力,自可預防痛症。
